Blue Jay Through My Window.......

Do you remember that childhood tune/game "Blue Jay, Blue Jay through my window?" Maybe it was just something we played at recess during my era! Anyway, I finally caught a blue jay in action! Of course you have to double click on the photo to find him high in the tree, but he's there getting his fair share of acorns.

Feasting on Acorns

The oak tree outside our family room window holds a banquet of acorns for the neighborhood's squirrels, birds and chipmunks. This morning, through the window from inside the house, I tried to capture some of the feasting going on outside. I was able to get a shot of chipmunk with his mouth full and a squirrel anxious to hide his goodies. The blue jays were just too quick today to catch pecking away at the nuts still on the branches.

On the Oregon Trail

I could hardly believe it, but my daughter captured this photo of an elk she saw while traveling and camping in Oregon just days ago!

Blue Butterfly

On Sunday while visiting my daughter, there was a gorgeous butterfly that kept flying nearby. Amazingly it let us capture seveal pictures. I chose three to feature here. One of the photos is of the butterfly landing on my foot!
